Trapos para proteger animales marinos del derrame de petróleo

Los que leen Fililis regularmente saben que siempre sigo los proyectos de Craft Hope, una organización destinada a ayudar diversas causas a través de labores hechas a mano. En esta ocasión, están reciclando trapos para ayudar a limpiar mamíferos marinos como delfines y manatís y otros animales del derrame de petróleo. Si queréis colaborar, podéis mandar vuestros trapos, cortados en cuadrados de 25 x 25 cm o en rectángulos de 36 x 68 cm. La única regla es que los trapos sean de algodón y suaves para no dañar la piel de los animales. ¡Esta es una gran oportunidad para reciclar sábanas y camisetas viejas y ayudar a una gran causa!

Muñecas pupas

El blog de Ikatbag es una fuente sinfín de inspiración, llena de tutoriales y patrones con ideas sorprendentes. Pero sin duda, su obra maestra son las muñecas pupas. Cuando hizo un primer lote el pasado mes de noviembre causaron furor y duraron unas horas en su tienda.

Ahora, y por petición popular, ha puesto a la venta el patrón con instrucciones que podéis encontrar aquí. El patrón incluye, entre otras cosas, la muñeca, el vestido reversible que se convierte en bata de hospital, el saco de dormir, las zapatillas, las tiritas, las escayolas... Todo para curar a estas muñecas que tienen los accidentes y enfermedades más variopintas.

Semana de las zapatillas de estar por casa: ¡A todo color!

No hay nada como unas pantuflas calentitas y una taza de té cuando llegas a casa. Por ello, esta semana en Fililis, es la semana oficial de las zapatillas de estar por casa.

Las asiduas a este blog ya sabéis que soy una fan absoluta de Kristin Nicholas. El patrón para hacer estas pantuflas de punto está inspirado en unas que compró en un mercadillo griego hace muchos años. Colchas de patchwork para niños cuyos padre están en la cárcel

Quizás recordéis el proyecto de Maragaret's Hope Chest que promovimos desde aquí en Noviembre. Tras distribuir los 400 quilts que se recibieron para niños sin hogar, esta organización continua con su labor de repartir esperanza colcha a colcha entre los más desfavorecidos. Este año, su intención es envíar colchas hechas a mano para niños cuyos padres están en la cárcel y que en muchas ocasiones no recibirán más regalos de cumpleaños que estas colchas.

Para participar en este proyecto podéis envíar un mensaje a Carin de Margaret's Hope Chest y ella os pondrá en contacto con un niño para que le hagáis una colcha basada en sus gustos personales. Si el idioma es un problema, estaré encantada de echar un mano. Podéis escribirme aquí.
